Scout: Jeffrey Pierro

Project: Hiking Trail

Jeff began his career in Scouting as a Bear Cub Scout in 2000, and became a charter member of Troop 44 in 2004. As a member of Troop 44, he served as Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, and Scribe, where he helped create and publish the troop's first newsletter. Jeff also was elected to the Order of the Arrow and achieved Brotherhood status.

Jeff's Eagle Scout leadership service project was to create a hiking trail at Fairwoods Christian Recreation Grounds in Uxbridge. With the help of his troop and some adult volunteers, a trail was cleared and marked with blazes. In addition, two small footbridges were lashed together with wood found on the property to provide safe passage over a small stream. A sign was added to the entrance of the trail showing a topographical map along with the path of the trail.
